At 9 A.M. on January 2nd, 2021, the 8th grade students of Anqing Foreign Language School's Junior High Department of the east campus went to Anqing Science and Technology Museum to visit and study under the guidance of their teachers. The accompanying eighth-grade physics teachers acted as safety escorts and knowledge interpreters for the students.
To be specific, the Students who have preliminary contact with physics study are full of expectation and curiosity for this visit. Under the guidance of the physics teachers, students learned about the energy utilization of light energy into kinetic energy and the wonderful phenomenon of electrostatic repulsion in close contact. They understood that the principle of optical fiber is actually the total reflection learned in class, and students can also associate the principle of wind tunnel with the lift-off and flight of aircraft. What's more, students experimented with the electrical conductivity of materials by themselves, experienced the mechanical devices such as pulleys and axles, and better understood the application of physics in life. Meanwhile, each student put forward their own opinions and ideas to discuss and learn with the teachers, and many of the students even aspired to become future physics researchers!
In summary, this trip to Anqing Science and Technology Museum opened the door for students to learn the science of physics, which not only let the students experience the wonderful natural science, but also let them understand that physics comes from life, is higher than life but ultimately is used for life!
